Software scores structured fields the same way every time. It is fast and cheap, but it cannot read emails, notes, or documents, and that free text is often where the real risk in the work sits.
What forces the next stage
The pile of text nobody has time to read: email threads, call notes, the clause on page nineteen of a contract.
The next moves
- Find the one queue where free text backs up the work. Improving anything else first will not show up in the results.
- Test it two ways: can AI now read this data, and is a wrong answer cheap to catch, with one named person owning the decision?
- Before you remove any existing rule or checklist, write down why someone built it.
- Run one pilot at a time. Prove one small result and record the number.
