The floor
A permanent, tamper-evident record of every important AI action, with approval steps where a person must say yes and hard limits the system cannot override. Everything is portable, so you can change vendors.
What comes after the top
This is the top stage. The test: an auditor pulls a decision at random and finds a named approver on it.
How to hold the top
- Run a mock audit: pull a random AI decision and confirm a named person approved it.
- Test every new model on your own cases, one task at a time, before it reaches production.
- Use performance data to help people improve, not to cut staff. Show each person their own numbers first.
- Cut tool sprawl. One control point, with every tool limited to what it needs.
